Chrysler musclecars are the best kind IMO, don't get me wrong, Ford and GM had excellent cars, but it was Chrysler that was really outrageous. Who else would have had paint colors such as Plum Crazy, Burnt Orange, Lime green, Curious Yellow .... not to mention the famous "Mod-Tops".

Engines were also outrageous the 426 hemi was a de-tuned race engine, 428 + 429(Ford) and 427 + 454(GM) were race-tuned street engines. Chrysler also had long ram Max Wedge 413 and 426 cu.in. engines, what made these cool were the carbs sat over top of the inner fenders, it looked cool and worked incredibly.

    The Infamous Xa Phase Four

read about the XA PHASE 4 it was destined to become the greatest racing car Australia had ever seen in the super car era. (The official Ford brochure is on the standard XA GT, not the GTHO).

GTX, 2 Duster pics. (Taken at last year's Carlisle Mopar show.)

That pink Duster was tubbed for racing, and it says 340 on the rear fenders but I'm not so sure that's what was in it. It was loud. Oh so loud.

I'm also a big fan of the MoPar muscle cars. All-time favorite has to be the 1970 AAR 'Cuda. '70 is my favorite year for the Cuda, I prefer it over the Challenger. But I also really like the '67-'69 A-body Barracuda fastbacks.

Some pics from the 2002 Mopar Nats.
Hmm, those didn't post as thumbnails, Ihoped they would. How did you guys do that?

I'm gonna have to go with the car that is credited as starting the whole muscle car trend. The 64' GTO, they looked and ran great, I love em.

    agreed..but for diff reason

I learned something from your post, thanks, I used to favor the 69 Mach I, then owned three 70 Challengers, one 440 R/T in Plum, the looks is what the MOPAR people did best IMO. 67 Charger, 70 Challenger, Hemi Cuda ( Nash's car on TV was Sherwin Williams Industrial School Bus yellow BTW ) AAR in Green, T/A in Bright Green ( or Sublime ? ). Also as a question, I get some nice pics off this site, how can I post some that I got off other internet sites?
