big V8s with big lumpy cams sound awesome, so do HEMI sixes, 245s, 265s etc

This is a short video of a modified Pantera on a dyno pushing 477 RWHP, which translates to roughly 595 HP at the engine. Think about that. The car weighs 3100 lbs. A new Viper now has 500 HP but >>> weighs 300 lbs. more. There are a lot of these modified Pantera beasts on the road in the US. Mean, mean cars.

Here's another one that looks and sounds pretty stock. Probably 350-400 HP at the engine. Wild burnout.

Here are several in a convoy, going approximately 140-150 on a public road in Texas. http://www.sleepy-fish.com/sleepy/Pa...nday_Drive.wmv
that first pantera on the dyno does sound pretty damn powerful...u know what kind of engine is in that particular one?

Not sure. I may be able to find out though on another site. Check back in a day or two and maybe I'll have the answer.

I own a US Lexus SC400 with the V8. Obviously not as strong as the twin turbo (which wasn't sold here) but it is black like this one. Great looking car. I love it! Owned it for fours years now and it has been extremely reliable.
