Street legal? I'm pretty sure the callaway sledgehammer wins there. But straight from the factory? Maybe the Saleen S7 TT model? The ME-412 could get to 60 in first gear around 2.8 sec. so if you are considering concept cars that would win. It all depends.

    From http://www.zcars.org.uk/ultima/ultima-comparisons.htm

Perhaps a few comparisons will help

Ultima themselves have just equalled the world record of 0 to 60 in 2.8 seconds which was set by Chris Allanson on 5th November 2002 at Bruntingthorpe in the Tiger Z 100 WR.

However they went on to set the 0 to 100 to 0 world record which is the industry bench mark for performance cars at 10.3 seconds taking nearly a second off the previous best set by McLarens F1 road car.

The Ultima weighs 990 kilos with power at 640 bhp giving a power to weight ratio of 646 bhp per tonne

Our twin engined car weighs 980 kilos fully built with all fuel water etc on board, the engines give 1000 bhp which equates to a power to weight ratio of 1020 bhp per tonne

This has to be the most powerful road going car in the world plus it has the traction to put this sort of power down to the ground

a little bit of poetic license at the end there

It wasnt the road car that set the 0-100-0 record, it was the LM .. but thats road legal anyway. It was Autocar magazine that did it.

I'm sure when they test the Ultima with 720bhp that should be able to shave at least 0.1s off the current time of 2.7.
    Thanks for all the fish
