    Turbocharger vs Supercharger

Which do you think is the best? Can both a turbo and supercharger be put into a car to give it low rpm boost from SC and high rpm boost from the SC and TC?

Well only the s/c will give torque from low revs.
The twin-turbos on each pair of cylidners HAS advantages over sequential as it usually involves less restriction to flow and hence "easier" power.
Make up for hte lack of a smaller lighter turbo for the mid range revs with a s/c and bingo.
    Quite a neat setup too.

haha, 9 votes for turbo and none for super.

Parrallel turbos on a street car. That's my idea of a fun car, regardless to turbo lag, as when the boost kicks in........zoom-zoom.

Superchargers have their applications. There's nothing better than a blower sticking 2 feet out of the hood of a 69 Charger. But for most cars, turbos are the way to go. Especially for a street car. You can drive around off boost and still get decent gas mileage, but the power's there if you want it.

true. Is there any electronically controlled wastegates out there, that you can switch up or down the boost, depending on the situation? It sounds to me like it would extend the life of your engine and tubines, and you get the boost when you need it.

Targa, what was the point of that last comment.....

Godlaus, i think what youve described there is achievable with most boost controllers. If you really wanted to get technical, you could have 2 different boost maps, one for the street and one for the track that you can switch between with a switch on the dashboard.

What's wrong about my post? Just like you pointed out his repost I'm pointing out yours. You obviously didn't use the search button when making that thread my man.

    No hard feelings
