Just saw Vicki Butler on 5th Gear test a Aston Martin for top speed on a runway, she couldnt reach 200mph in 2.5 miles,it worked out she would need about 5 miles to reach 200mph,the last thing she said its one thing to have a 200mph car its another thing having somewhere to test its top speed potential. How so very true, that guy should never be allowed to drive again

I really don't pity that dumbass all that much, because you have to be stupid to speed your car in a city.

or it could be he was a teen who took his daddys car and picked up his girlfriend and drive fast to impress her.

Erm ok... you might want to read the links and you'd find that

    a) it wasn't in a city
    b) The owner/ driver is a successful boxer, aged 31, and the other person in the car was a man.

You are the jackass for posting wildly innacurate hypotheses about who was doing what and why when I included the link to what actually happened in my first post.

    Will you ever learn?

As for the occupants of the Golf - being in intensive care with two broken arms and a broken leg/ shock ≠ ok
    Thanks for all the fish

i feel sorry for the people in the Golf, but the SLR driver shouldn't of been going that fast.

ok, based on your last post you have no idea what happened other than a wreck, do you know exactly how fast the slr driver was going, what the speed limit was, and how much over it his speed was? do you know the road conditions and what the driver of the golf did?

Not a good idea, IMO. NorthPoint Ford of Chicago stopped giving Cobra demos after a few customers wrecked a few.

    BBC:

Former world boxing champion Naseem Hamed has been jailed for dangerous driving after a crash which left another driver severely injured.
Hamed, 32, from Dore in Sheffield, was sentenced to 15 months at Sheffield Crown Court after pleading guilty at an earlier hearing.

The boxer was also banned from driving for four years.
    Thanks for all the fish

^^ Yeh I heard he wanted to start up his boxing again, but the last time I saw him on TV (during an Amir Khan match) he looked no where near where he used to be, looked a lot chunkier (nice way of saying fatter)....

Quite a sad story really, its a shame people go and waste their opportunities.

I remember seeing him Prince Nassem Hamed on HBO boxing, he's good but very conceited, sometimes I use to root for him to lose but he always won.

He use to say after a easy win to the interviewer- "He was good but next time around (rematch) he will be get knocked down much faster and easier" or something like that, with sacrasm and arrogance. Then he was famous for his introduction to the ring, different everytime, and when he got to the ring he would do a trick -conservative low effort flipp over the rope.
    entertaining tho.

Not on an SLR though eh?

    + "209 mph car crash".

Either they are publishing the top speed of the car as the speed of the crash, which is just stupid, and yet so typical of those c**ts.

Or "Nas" was doing 149mph when he crashed head-on into the Golf.

The Sun newspaper - Why let facts get in the way of a "story"?
If the golf was doing 60mph it would be true.

Has he only just been jailed, thats a long court case for a car crash.

Nasseem was doing over 90mph, he got bored of sitting behind a Mondeo and wanted to show off to his friend... so he overtook, and blam. Hit the Golf.

The driver of the Golf can't get work, he's partially sighted, one leg is now shorter than the other, he's a bit of a wreck, really.
