Im having trouble with my CD/DVD Player and Burner. When i try to play a cd or dvd the sound skips constantly.i tried two different dvds and a cd and the all have the same problem. playing music files off of my hard drive works perfectly so it is not speaker problems. anyone have any advice?

Might be the probgram you use to play it on.
About 4 years ago i couldnt play songs in Windows media player did the same thing, Tried winamp and all was then good.
What program you use ?

Could be a dirty laser, you can get cleaning CD's to sort that.

i sorta fixed it. i guess a firewire card i installed the other day intered with it. i just removed it and everything works fine. now ill have to see about getting both to work.

you need to upgrade your memory (RAM) ,if you`re using dvd ,upgrade it to 512 or higher
