    In that case we should also put in an honorable mention for Shirley Muldowney, after all she is known as "The First Lady of Racing".

    "First lady" would have to go to Mary Wheeler who was born in 1910 and later formed the British Women Racing Drivers Club ( and sadly passsed away last year.
    We probably have the usual historical problem with you folks across the pond. Anything more than 50 years old is veteran/classic

    ANYWAY, N is a bit of a sticky one and I'll admit I've resorted to www serach to get ....

    I think Pat Moss (later Carlsson) also is worth mentioning here.Haven't thought about the P yet, but if I find something before being off this forum for the next two weeks I'll let you know.
