    Ebay scam

Some of you may be aware of Blue Supra being scammed recently. I nearly got done myself. I bid for a PRS guitar and was outbid. A week later I recieved an email offering me the guitar at the last bid I sent because the original winner couldnt pay. The seller told me that he would sent the guitat via TNT who when they recieved it would notify me to pay via Western Union. When this was done I could inspect the guitar at the TNT depot and if I was happy with it take it and allow TNT to forward the money to the seller. Sounds pretty safe eh? Except that the b/s cart note from TNT I recieved via email had an emai address for the Western Union details to be sent to that was not TNT. So if I sent the payment details to it it would have no doubt gone to the alleged seller who could collect the money anonymously and I would have been seriously owned. I contacted the original seller through Ebay and they confirmed the scam.
    Two rules for Ebay.
    1. Do NOT EVER use Western Union. Once you have given the deposit number and your name to the reciever they can pick up the money and leave little trace.
    2. Always deal through the Ebay system.

Always always always ask them to relist the item with a Buy It Now option at whatever your agreed price is. That way eBay will cover your purchase. And use PayPal or another service to transfer funds.

I think the owner of Ebay should get arrested for scamming people because it's stealing, and the cops who ignore it are probably corrupt. It's just like rumors going around that Microsoft "bought" the audiences at E3 to cheer for them. The papers said that Ebay has been losing hundreds of millions for quite a while so I think that's why they're scamming.

It isnt Ebay doing the scamming. Their system works pretty well if you stick to the rules.

Maybe lucky that Blueys bad luck made us all more aware of c**ts like that in the world. I must admit i have bidded on things and got outbidded and it always seems like someone is jacking the price up, When there is 5 seconds left and you bid and are infront it's strange that you somehow lose. I give up.
