Yeah, it's amazing. Here are the top 3 ranking for all classes:

    LMP1
    1. Audi R8
    2. Pescarolo Sports
    3. Audi R8

    LMP2
    1. Lola MG
    2. Courage Ford
    3. Courage Ford

    GT1
    1. Corvette C6-R
    2. Corvette C6-R
    3. Aston Martin DBR9

    GT2
I guess you all knew from the beginning.........Porsche 1,2,3

The Aston didn't win after all, but it sure made good impression for a return to Le Mans. For the LMP2, I feel sorry for Ford, their car was in 1st in class before it suddenly slowed down in the middle of the course mysteriously in the last hours, that's when Lola got them right in the neck. Funny that all the Ferrari 360s retired and the remaining GT1 class 550s lost to GT2 class GT3 RSRs in overall ranking, Ferrari really suck in Le Mans. The last moment was unforgetable when the remaining P1s marched slowly to the checker flag together. 300,000 people were presented at this race, which broke the history record. I didn't miss anything that was shown on Speed Channel.

Pescarolo did a really good job too, their cars were definitely faster than the R8s, but they didn't have any driver that's better than the Champion Racing Team's Tom Kristensen in the Audi. Without Kristensen, Audi would have lost, so here I thank him for his and his team's hard work through all the tough conditions and disadvantages. I think that Audi should consider having an even better LMP in this great race next year. The 2005 24 Hours of Le Mans had just became a big, big part of Le Mans history, so cheers!!!

Oh and by the way, here's next year's GT2 class's top 3 ranking:
    1. Porsche 997 GT3 RSR
    2. Porsche 997 GT3 RSR
    3. Porsche 997 GT3 RSR

And also some of the cars that'll retire would be F430s.

And Kristensen's seventh win. So it was quite a Scandinavian dominated race.

Yeah, they should call it Porsche GT3 class instead of GT2

Hope Räikkönen will do as well in a couple of hours in F1!

Getting a bit off topic, but hopefully he (and the other Michelin tyred drivers) will be racing at all, though a Ferrari vs Jordan vs Minardi race might be interesting too...

Yeah it was a great effort and they were leading for the majority of the race, definitely had the 'Vettes beat in terms of outright pace and everything looked set for a grandstand 'UK vs. USA' finish. Then amazingly both Astons ran into trouble on the same lap and both ended up with very lengthy pitstops when they looked as though they might not even continue.

Basically the Corvette teams didn't need to lift the bonnet on either car for pretty much the whole 24 hours. A real testament to the development and testing of the C6. Still, I'd like to take a little bit of pride for us Brits as it was our Oliver Gavin who brought the lead Corvette home to victory!

Also congrats to the Peninsula TVR just for finishing! One of the most underfunded and under developed race teams at Le Mans for years and they still managed to trundle home to the finish!

I'm afraid I can't say I'm thrilled. Panoz' enemy hits twice in the top three. Mixed feelings there...

There's rumor about Micheal Schumacher going Le Mans after his F1 career. If he is, then he would be driving one of those sucky Ferraris. By the way, Panoz cars were really killing the drivers, they were the hottest cars, as in interior temperature, AND ONE OF THE PANOZ HAD TO REFUEL ON THE FIRST LAP, LMFAO. It was funny when one of the Panoz got hit by a Pescarolo and had problems later. That Pescarolo which hit the Panoz also had steering problems afterwards. Panoz had been embarassed through the whole race. Why compete with Porsche in GT2 class? There's no reason to do so because Porsche are the best in GT2 class. There was also a lot of popped tires. And one more mysterious thing, did anyone notice that about 4 cars went offroad at the same corner in the last few hours? That one was weird.

Says who? I don't know of any contract strictly with Ferrari. After he's done with F1 he's fair game for whoever wants him. But it might hint at a return to LMP racing for Ferrari. That'd be interesting to watch.
