    Koenigsegg CCR on the Ring

    Koenigsegg website - official

Koenigseggs first lap at the Nürburgring.

Koenigsegg had an outing at the Nordschleife at the Nürburgring for the first time the other week.

Without any prior setup or adjustment the Koenigsegg CCR managed to lap the ring in 7.39 Seconds.

This lap time show tremendous potential and is already class leading. The Koenigsegg Team will be back on the Ring within short for further trials.

The Koenigsegg CCR features customer adjustable, shock absorbers, wheel geometries, anti roll bars, ride-height and tire pressure. These adjustable features will be now be utilized, and an customer official "Ring" setting will be created. Hopefully, theses settings will help the CCR to become the first road legal, series-produced Super car under 7.30 Seconds.

    Words from the founder:

-Last weeks laps around the Ring show that the Koenigsegg CCR is not only a world beater in a straight line, but also around the most challenging circuit in the world. I cannot wait to have another go.

More info will follow on this exciting challenge....

Cedric - I sound like a chipmunk on there. Some friends of mine were like, "were you going through puberty?" I was like, no I was already 20, I just sound like a girl.

OK, so compared to the times out of the SportAuto Supertest (a very good test out of a german magazine) it is already faster than:

    Lamborghini Diablo GT (8:04)
    Lamborghini Diablo SV (8:09)
    Lamborghini Gallardo (7:52)
    Lamborghini Murciélago (7:50)
    Mercedes Benz SLR McLaren (7:52)
Mercedes Benz CLK DTM Street (7:54)
    Pagani Zonda C12 S (7:44)
    Porsche 996 GT2 (7:46)
    Porsche 996 GT3 (older model) (8:03)
    Porsche 996 GT3 (newer model) (7:54)
    Porsche 996 GT3 RS (7:47)
    Porsche 996 Turbo (7:56)
    TechArt Porsche GT Street (7:43)

    But it's slower than:
    Porsche Carrera GT (7:32)

    Nice challenge

There is 3 people on a boat with loads of children running around it, the 3 people are: 1. Bob geldof, 2. Ozzy Osbourne, and 3. Micheal jackson, they're sailing out for the G8 live aid, they've hit a rock and they're sinking, bob says: "save the children!" ozzy says: "Fuc the children!"

Micheal says "have we got time?"

holy hell... When I spoke to Christian about the future of his company in November he told me that they were to beat the speed record and have a go at the Ring. From what I heard Loris, their in house test driver, was to attempt both. I bet he can push the car faster than 7:39, which is an insane time thinking that the Carrera GT was tested on the Ring for hundreds laps before being set into production.

hmmm......I lapped the ring in 6:48 on Project Gotham Racing 2 with the CC8S, that makes me awesome.

But seriously, this car is unbelievable. Christian has a great company.

I've done it in under 6:30 which makes me half-man half-manbird? It's an awsome car agreed. And in PGR2 the CC8S was my hands down favourite.
