Those are brilliant, thank you so much. That garage is brilliant, you are very lucky to own those magnificent cars.

Do the cars suffer from the usual Italian tempermentalism? (If that's a word )

Thanks again for sharing those wonderful pictures.

It's a great looking rare car, thanks for sharing the pics, with some nice detail shots.
Only 4000km on the clock at the moment, I see the Venturi, but what's your daily driver?

amazing! Thanks for the new shots
It'd be better if you posted them in the specific Targa thread, but they can be moved if it's too much hassle.

Amazing pictures posted. I have one question though. I noticed in one of the pictures in Post #8 that there is a BMW engine in the engine bay. I had no idea DeTomaso used a BMW engine in the Guara. Can someone divulge any details?

You are right, until 1999 they used BMW engines.
    It is a 4.0 Liter V8 with 304 HP at 5500rpm and 431 Nm at 4300 rpm.
    Top speed is 170 mph (270 km/h) and 0 - 62 time is 5.0 sec.
Not only the engine is sourced from BMW. Also the clutch, flywheel, steering column, pedal box, instruments, switches, AC unit and even the outside door handles. This sounds not very exclusive, but all works very well and you can get all these parts without problems.
Later cars were equipped with the 4.6 Liter Ford DOHC V8 engine. The reason for this change was only the price. The BMW engine costs three times from the Ford engine.

No, the Ford engined cars were a little bit cheaper.
On the pics you can see the chassis from a late Ford engined Guara.

If you like it more exclusive, there is only one Guara "R" with a supercharged Ford engine and about 600 horses.

There is only one car from the "R" version, the blue one from Bavaria in the pics above.
Sorry, no larger pics from the chassis.
