I almost forgot I have pics too. Let's start off with some gold-nuggets!

Does anyone have any info on the red machine? I believe it to be a version of the Guara, but I'm not entirely sure...

Could be completely wrong, but wasn't this a Biturbo in drag?

    Actually I don't live there. If I did :
    1. I'd probably be rich
    2. I'd see that kind of cars much more often

Oh and I'm sorry for creating a new thread, I did't find this one when I looked for a De Tomaso Guara thread in the Hide-Out.

    Hi all.
I own one of these rare beasts and it is only fun to drive. It feels like a large scale cart and cornering is amazing.
All details of my car and a lot of pictures wou can see at

Welcome to UCP, very nice car you have there. Any chance we could get the high-res versions of those shots?

The red car is Guara Barchetta - Guara was produced in two versions: Coupe and Barchetta. There was also a Guara Spider, but it remained a concept.
It's not denial. I'm just very selective about the reality I accept.

The Guara Spider was not only a concept. I got the chance for a ride some years ago and it was fantastic.
They have made three cars. One of them was delivered to Germany, one to England and one to Switzerland.

Could you provide us with some more info? Such as when you bought it, how much for etc?

Our car is number 7 of only about 40 Coupes built between 1994 and 2005.
It was finished late 1996 and delivered to a sportscardealer in the city of Bonn, Germany. It was their demonstrator car for several years. We bought the car in November 2002 as new with only 1176 km on the clock.
The price was nearly € 70.000,- with all the taxes, around 50% from a new car. At the moment it shows nearly 4000 km and I am happy to finish the running in.
    See some pics more....
