that's were the generation differences come in: Surtees, Amon, Bandini, Scarfiotti, Parkes, Ickx, anyone?

You'd be surprised. If Lotus still raced i would be with them, Hill and Jim Clark are my Favorite drivers of all time.

I cannot think of one TEAM that all these 4 drove for, unless Stewart drove a Lotus that I never heard of.

He drove for them on a few one-off bases when he was then offered a full time position Which he turned down to go with BRM.

eg he drove a Lotus 33 at Kyalami GP

Also, they all drove Lotus saloons at various times !!!

    can't ........ type ......... hurts ........ should say MATRA ...... want to say Tyrrell ......... have .... to ..... agree ............. LOTUS

Actually it's a damn close run thing for me between Tyrrel and Lotus.
Each had great leaders and innovation.

Actually I'd like to say ALPINE but the 500 was only put on the track as a RENAULT. The FIRST of the F1 Turbos ( based on all those lovely Gordini small block engines that came before )

I thought that would indeed be the reason for you to include Stewart earlier

Renault, I have been supporting them since they came back to F1. That's my favourite F1 team at the moment, not of all time. It's between BRM and Lotus for me.
On a Good day, Chris Bangle designs the Fiat Coupe.
On a Bad day, he designs a BMW.
