Many years ago, many women admired and drove big luxury cars, with a smooth ride, comfy interior and a large luggage compartment to hold their groceries in. Like this '77 Lincoln Continental:

My Dad had one similar to that, although it was an earlier model with suicide doors. He bought it for 75$ and "turned it into an artificial reef"

I like it how Quiggs noted that the VW Cabrio and Jetta are girl cars but for some reason excluded the Golf.

I believe the last year for suicide doors on Lincolns was 1969. So, I guess your Dad had a '60s Lincoln. (The suicide doors first appeared on the 1961 model year.)

I think it was a '68. It was black, just like in that last picture. Some day I might go diving and find it

    Well, what can I say?

On a Good day, Chris Bangle designs the Fiat Coupe.
On a Bad day, he designs a BMW.
