and not that good looking imo
its one of those box with 4 wheels
Give me on of these, but a SWB 3dr with a suspension raise and big huge beefy tyres, a manual gearbox w/ low range, and a nice, very long off-road track.
I found G-Class pics, sure, but not additional G55 pics.Originally Posted by p_dragnev

who cares if Hitler sat on one... (i thought the G was designed in the 70s or 80s though, didn't BMW or VW make military cars back in WW2??)
it's one nice car... beats the Hummer anyday.. it's useless for everyday use... but so is most SUV..
The present Geländewagen was designed in 1975. But already in 1926 (the same year Daimler and Benz teamed up to become Mercedes-Benz) they made a car called Typ G1 Geländewagen (which had 6WD!). The top speed was a modest 60 km/h and only 7 were made. Untill and during the second world war, Merdeces made several offroad vehicles, which reached its climax with the G4 (A 3,5 tones monster with a top speed of 67 km/h.Originally Posted by woodstock827

yea... and why not stick with the G-class and not go to Hitler, since this is a G55 topic?
and i only meant it does not matter if Hitler used it or not, it's still a good car...
