I wasn't trying to be harsh about the Stout, it was designed by Tjjarda after all, truly visionary. You could consider the Stout the first MPV or minivan. . It could have been like an American Tatra, but the tech for the suspension, steering, and rear power with a flatty Ford V8 was really not on the level of Dr. Porsche's contemporary Auto Union/Mercedes. They are remarkable to see in person, though.

yeah by history,why do many corvette stingrays have 454
how do you know what engine one is talking about just by a single number.

It's the size of the engine, there were only a couple variants of the 454 made by chevrolet.

The 454 didn't come until 1970 and was the LS5 and LS6 they put in the corvettes and they just kept modifying them up to 74 or 75 cant remember. Thats the only time it was used in the corvette, thus why there is so many stingrays with 454's.

36 and 40? you mean 440? Thats Chrysler/Dodge (Mopar) and a big block too. Its not that each have a given time period, its that they start small and get bigger. Generally the bigger they are the more power they have

No. Small blocks are just anything under 7 liters.
