I think the Mondial did.
The switch to Pinin for their design ruined the range for a while (IMHO).
Testa had a reputation for being expensive to service and hard on it's components. A clutch lasting 20,000 miles was good BUT the sound was worth it
The problem with "brand image" is ti doesnt' matter how many good or great products you make. It only takes ONE bad one to destroy the image.
It took Vauxhall in the UK 30 years to get away from the image of nasty rust buckets that the Cresta created !!! MG were forever damaged with the Montego !!! The list is endless. I think, for those reasons, the focus when worrying on brand image has to take the WORST examples, not the good ones .
