The stratos one make me feel good

I've tried numerous times over the years to try to build rallying dioramas and NEVER managed to not make it look as if someone just parked the car up

If anyone ever sees a modeller successfully recreated the "movement" in a rally diorama please pm me a link. Ta.

I've seen a few of the crash diorama and besides the demonstration of the skill of the modeller I've never quite seen the point as I dont' find the end result aesthetic.

German guy does some superb looking more European garage look ( nobody over here has painted floors and pristine white walled garages unles they're either Japanese or selling only top-end cars

) Certainly my garages have always looked more of the "long-term-worked-in-lots-of-old-bits-kicking-about".

here's some of his work I kept to spur me on to do better

Having spoken to a professional garage diorama builder at Autsport show, once they decide to make it a business it's a lot easier. He talked about making his first stripped gearbox for the bench and how long it took and now he casts/etches the "kit" in batches of 100 in a fraction of it !!

www.factor24.com - expensive though. It takes the guy about 6 weeks to make one !!!!

I've got some business cards from guys too I'll try and find them (!) and post.
They are a LOT cheaper ( but less quality, accuracy and parts ) than this one.

There are now lots of small compaies doing resin parts for these too, a quick google found http://www.scalemodelingbychris.com/diorama.htm , http://www.scalemodelingbychris.com/accessory.htm look for "car garage diorama" and you'll find lots.
