I think the rear has too much going on...the headlight setup makes it look like a cheesy futuristic concept from the 60s...and the side profile is ruined by the bump of that spoiler/horizontal pillar/thing running across the rear window...
but I'm sure the roof looks very nice from above
Signature? We don't need no steenking signature
yeah when I first saw it I had to laugh.Originally Posted by ruim20

wow thats actually pretty good. looks like a sporty version of the prius.
that said, the center portion of the upper grille (around the logo) looks crappy but could probably be replaced. the lower radiator 'mouth' is nice. ive drawn many photoshops with that upside-down grille.
You know that a design is good when it polarizes opinions like this. But that's just my opinion.
great car inside, awful car outside
Everybody who thinks Honda should have kept/made a Sedan-version, hands up!
*raises hand*
Anybody else?
No. Why put an ugly boot on a car when it's not needed ?

Honda has to come up with sedan version in US, otherwise it will be out of business there.Originally Posted by spi-ti-tout

The sedan version has been part of the Civic heritage since the beginning so why should it be ripped out?
And + the Civic acts like a family car a lot and the "ugly boot" has helped family's fit in stuff where there would not have been space!
Alright with the new design I sorta agree with you - 'cause it's very obviously aimed at the younger generation, BUT they should make a sedan version or as smxi rightly said they'll run outta business in the US (atleast)
I had the "joy" of running a Ford Orion Injection as a family car for a few years. A Ford Escort with a boot.Originally Posted by spi-ti-tout
nah, hatch is much better, can get enough in when carrygin 4/5 and can get lots and BIG stuff in when carrying 1/2
Reminds of those BIG trunks in the 70/80s.BUT they should make a sedan version or as smxi rightly said they'll run outta business in the US (atleast)
Still couldn't take the equipment transported this side of the pond in hatchbakcs/small family cars
But yeah the expectation is there for families adn the hatch is more the young market. Once I get my pipe and slippers I'll probably get a Volvo

Siochoro Honda once said, NEVER CAUSE HARM TO OTHERS. But the exterior, especially the front, is insulting to the eye, (for now!)
For us it breaks the mould of all those that have followed the Peugeot look for years.Originally Posted by gabriel
And for us oldies it's a nice resurrection of the A310 row of lights look from the 70s. I'm gonna get my spandex glitter suit out of the wardrope
