    Porsche 911 997 Turbo Cabriolet

I know the Porsche 911 997 Turbo s debuting in September at Frankfurt. However, I was wondering if a cabrio version was close behind. It had never crossed my mind until I had seen these pictures:

The first row of pictures is clearly a coupe. But in the second row of pics, there is obviously a crease where the roof meets the body. This, to me, is indicative of a cabrio. Sweet.

yeah...there was a 996 turbo cab. it actually is the 997, they just put tape around the headlights and a bunch of stuff around the body. to actually answer my own question: it is!

This has been the case with all 'new' 911s since 1965.
If you should see a man walking down a crowded street talking aloud to himself, don't run in the opposite direction, but run towards him, because he's a poet. You have nothing to fear from the poet - but the truth.

That's just a weird camoflauge that porsche puts on it's latest vehicles to make it look like a 996. It's not really. Take a look deep into the headlights, you can plainly see an oval shaped headlight.

Was it modified? Dont think its because im a viper fan, but I'm pretty sure a stock 911 turbo cannot take a viper.

    it depends.

assuming we are talking 2002, that means 996 turbo vs viper GTS ( the new one was not out yet), an assuming we are talking acceleration times...
The turbo could beat a viper, by its not like it can "smoke" a viper. thats just ridiculous.
unless the guy driving the viper was a total retard, the viper will allways have a fighting chance against a 996 turbo.

A NEW viper is a different story, it would be a close match indeed, but i think the Turbo Sor a GT2 is a "fairer" oponent to the new viper.
