    New Porsche 928?

Interesting...looks like porsche is going to join in on the E55, M5, and RS6 brawl with their new 928

Wow that't the new model Porsche is gonna make?? Or is it just a photoshop-thing...
If thing new 928 will really come, I think the Quattroporte will get serious competition after all... But I think it will get at least as much critic as the Cayenne, cause it looks very...special
Hopefully it's not the defenitive model...

hey, if porsche think they can sell it then good luck to them. the cayenne has given porsche more sales than theyve ever had recently despite all of its controversy.

if ive got a complaint its that its relying too much on the 911's couple styling which does nothing to hide its length in this case. i say make it look more like a sedan or unless they want to pull something like the chevy ss concept or mazda RX8 and make a 4 door coupe, but either way that look doesnt suit my tastes. maybe the final version in the flesh will look stunningly beautiful so only time will tell

The 928 was an old 80's Porsche that used a 32 valve V8 and the engine was in the front. The old 928 was a coupe, this new one is a sedan.
First the SUV and now a sedan! What the?

I loved the old 928 very dearly it had a great engine was a weel built car that really did slug it our hard! But this new creation is at best very ugly and is really what i view three steps back rather then and move foreward by porsche! hopefully that make a 2 door...butas fpv said itll probly look too much like a 911 there i hopw the make it lookat least a little more like a old 928.

The front looks like the Carrera GT but the back looks ugly and bland. I hope they redesign the back on the production version.

im sure they will, afterall i believe this is just an artist representation (for that magazine). so it will probably look superb when porsche actually starts to build the darn thing.

Does the entry of Porsche into the arena of previously untrodden waters (?) of SUVs and four door saloons signal a possible shift from purist sports car design to the influence of the dollar. Im sure they , like all companies are profit driven but does this recently new found hunger signal a dangerous new influence in design philosophy. Just trying to frighten Porsche aficionados.

whats even to say they'll call it the 928, they may call it a 948 - 4 door, possible 8 cylinder from the cayenne..

    Sedan?

I had no idea what Porsche where thinking making an SUV, i have no idea what they are thinking making a sedan. Why does everything have to be about money?

If a couple of big-shots cared a little less about there holiday homes and a little more about damn good cars, then maybe we would have some nice new concepts coming around.
