You know it was a real shame that that new GM management felt that the LMP programme was not producing a quality enough product as the Corvette or NASCAR racing progammes.

The car was just reaching its development peak in performance with a third at the Petit Le Mans in 2002 and looked to be a true challenger to the Audi R8 for the next season.

It probably would have taken third behind the Bentleys at the '03 24 Hours of Le Mans.
