A porsche going over 320 mph? ;) (joke)

I was walking down the street and close to me there wher 2 guys and a girl. One of the guys was explaining something about a Porsche which can go over 320 MPH. I slowed down to hear him correct himself, but he just went on:
"Yeah that's 320 MPH which means like over 500 km/h." Even the girl began to be suspicious, but no! he continued:
"Yeah, it's black (some definition of car ) and had these massive exhaut pipes and stuff". Pathetic.
But it got me thinking: what would even be a point of such car? 500 km/h is way beyond human limits when it comes to reflex. 500 km/h means it makes about 138 meters (452 feet) a second. So nobody would be even able to drive it.
This whole "race for speed" is really going out of hand. Let's see them make brakes which brake down a car from 100 km/h in under 10 meters, that's a challenge.

If they wouldn't be able to drive it, then how do they drive the land speed record cars?

Well, most profesional race drivers never get close to those speeds, with the exception of jet powered cars; I can't think of any car capable of going that fast. We're always talking about "what's the fastest supercar?" If you as me, most people reach the limit of their driving ability at around 100 mph. Cars capable of reaching 150 mph is more than enough for most, 190+ mph is great for bragging rights but even if you own a car capable of that, will you ever get it to go that fast...and live?

It's obvious that the dude talking about the Porsche doesn't know the first thing about cars and driving. What a loser!!!

Sounds like it. I heard the same thing at my high school last year and junior year.

"Yo, you should hook up with my ride. Its a big truck and can go 0-60 flat..." Flat in what? Hillbilly times?

Even worse sometimes were the girls.
    "I got a Cadillac."
    "That's awesome. How fast?"
Random dude. "Its a sedan one and the sedans are faster than almost any other car here."

    Hmmm....since when was an early 90's Cadillac faster than a M3, 3000GT, or 928?

"my skyline is totally modified it can do 170mph"

    whata snob

"...totally tuned by me....been beating a 911 turbo and a Diablo...."

at the end of this, when he walked out, i took a cactus and whacked him.
