    Moskvich 408

My 408 has of course got the 1356cc engine with column gear change, due to the poor parts situation and reading all this talk of modification I think I may go down the modification route myself, I dont suppose anyone knows of a modern engine that would be a relatively easy fit in this car, I also wonder if the four drum brakes can be upgraded to discs?

You can find it in Russia for 500 bucks But it would be an 80s - early 90s motorcycle.

If you say 500 bucks, would it be USD or what.... can you arrange something, model does not matter. The bike looks great

I'm always glad when I can leave Uzbeksitan without any customs trouble....

I doubt I'm good at car choice now, as I have never dealt with it yet.
    Above I meant USD, yes

It would be more simple to buy a new one, I think - they still produce very similar machines. If you have a good translator you can look them here: uralmoto.ru. It's their official page, but unfortunately they don't have it in English, but it is worth looking. Now for a quick look you can click at 'Мотоциклы' at the left of the page, in a menu, which means 'Motorcycles'. The links which will fall off are all the models' names, among which some are even 2WD - rear wheel and the one of a sidecar.
Otherwise, you may ask me to translate what you will be interested in

Update: here's an English website. Ural | Russian Motorcycles And you can buy them at Kyalami.
