Suffice it to say we moved to a place where having a real 4x4 is indispensible, otherwise I wouldn't have one either (the friend who sold it cheap needing the quick cash didn't hurt either).
Yeah son. lol power to the 4 bys. It looks like you've got your self a little body lift. I have a body lift on my blazer, lets me clear my 31's. Can't wait to get my 2 inch suspsnsion though. Don't worry either, you arent alone on the suv part, we are together here on ucp im afraid. lol

Believe it or not, I actually like the thing. It drives pretty nicely, tons of torque, pretty good handling for a truck, although the ride is like sliding down a washboard. For the price a person could certainly do a lot worse. This probably won't be my last 4x4. And hey, being able to completely ignore curbs and speed bumps is a nice bonus

Actually, as far as I know it's stock height - although I just took the running boards off to restore them last week, and I'm not sure I want to put them back on - it looks lifted even more! It's pretty badass. I'm thinking about 32x11.5's next time I get tires instead of the 31x10.5's to enhance the badass factor.

That's it? I would have expected at least $100k for one in excellent condition. Or was it not totally restored?

That said, you have some very, very good taste in cars...'59 Cads are my second fave Cads and are pretty high up there on my all-time favorite list...although I'd settle for a Series 60 Fleetwood or a Series 62 DeVille Convertible though. Maybe even just a plain jane Series 62 4-door 6-window...

My best friend from high school was dying to build a Factory 5 Cobra...with a stroked 351W, etc...those are some savage cars.
