50 cent sucks, infact all rap sucks, and hip hop. its not even music, its a constant beat behind a load of ego-boosted guys singing about absolute crap. It has no emotion, which is what the sorts of rock music gives its fans. The worst thing is, they abuse the image of great cars in their videos. Which is damned right out of order.

You guys are extremely prejudiced against rap. I don't listen to it, it just doesn't do it for me, but either does country or techno. Some rap songs are meaningfull, some tell good stories, and when rappers aren't caught up in their image they can sometimes write good music. I agree gangster rap is repetitive, not artistic, and boring, but every once in a while they do make a good song, if you look hard enough.

Making sweeping generalizations is a good way to make a fool of yourself. There are female rappers. Rap is a style of music, it has nothing to do with the lyrics, only the structure of the music and lyrics.

IMO many rappers are VERY derogatory towards women, but they also have women all over them.

Its not your place to judge whether rap is 'good' or 'bad' for women. In my experience they're smarter than men anyway, they can decide whats good for them themselves. Maybe there wouldn't be so many rappers if beautiful women weren't all over them.

i'm very much into punk music, but i still like some hip-hop. Aussie hip-hop is awesome because it isn't commercialised, so they aren't singing about chrome wheels or chicks with massive arses, and so its enjoyable. I even have a Hilltop Hoods CD, and its got Gyroscope and Guttermouth and a heap of The Hives above and below it in my CD rack

And in the same video I do believe that he drives a BMW M6. And another he drives a Phantom.

well actually i think all hip hop doesn't really suck
apart from 50 cent, ludacris or usher there are some really good artists who can make rap really good
good hip hop (which isn't too popular on tv either radio) can be a mix of all kinds of black music, like jazz blues etc.
i listen to many oldschool squads, like group home, k-otix or a tribe called quest (they helped with making last gorillaz album)
you don't see those names as it's an ambitious music that don't have place on mass media

I've seen this new video "Window shopper" and I think it's a bit over the top. I got used to the sight of Rap stars in Maybach's or Phantoms but in this video he drives a god damn Maserati MC12. Is this really the kind of promotion this car needs? It would be sad if it became just another toy for 20-year olds pop stars. I think this car deserves better (it's way cooler than Enzo IMO)
