BTW 20D is a camera that would've been high up on my list if I had the money....but I certainly don't regret getting the Minolta at the end. Rebel XT really turned me off with the built and the lack of heft...

That would be a prime lens. That just means it's not a zoom lens. I'm not sure where the prime bit comes from. I'd have thought that 'fixed length' or something similar would be a bit more obvious.Originally Posted by Pinin

I have a friend that has the Nikon equivalent that Canon lens AAA-mod mentioned, the 80-200 F2.8, he lets me borrow it from time to time, it's a stunning bit of kit. Just a bit too heavy for using for long periods of time!
