exige was easily one of my favorite cars ever...so simple, so elegant.

Why is the new one slower? 5.2 vs. 4.6 in the 0-60? i don't get it?

too bad it won't make the jump across the pond....at least we get the elise
    And Iraaaaaaaaaaaan

    Iran's so far awaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay...

    I like it!

I think it looks even better than the normal Elise, and it looks more racy...nice

This doesn't seem to be much different than the Elise 111R... I think you've got all those stats incorrect!

I think those stats are correct to the best of my knowledge. The main difference over the Elise range is in the chassis set up and aerodynamics, as it was with the original Exige. The ride and handling is much more track biased and hardcore. It might be no more powerful than the top of the range Elise, but the handling should be taken up a notch to make it far faster round a track.

I'm still a little disappointed that Lotus have used the full interior with options for full stereo system, air-con, carpeting etc. They even have ABS! I thought the whole point of the Exige was supposed to be a full-on, hardcore version of the Elise. I would've much prefered if they had gone with a proper race feel to the interior, which would've helped keep the weight down aswell. Ah well, still wouldn't say to one though!
