I think people should give a reason for their choice. Many already do, we might get some interesting insights into what they see.
Example: I like netburner's pic because it shows a timeless hulk of a 300 SL as a person in the background is moving very speedily in the present.

well like any car photo you can take it several different way, its the same with model.....I think the basic ingredients for a good photo is all the same...
