    Clutch, this car was painted gunmetal in '04 since no similar color was available. Subaru actually did add a new color, a very dark silver like that, for the '05-'06 STi's called Steel Grey Metallic (SGM).

    really? sweet, i haven't seen any in that colour yet, is it for the US only?

    I was mistaken about the years, it's for the '06 only and upon checking Subaru's Australian site, it appears to be a US only color.
