Would be nice to hear your opinion on the real ring vs the GT4 version. I've read/heard elsewhere that the angle at which the road goes up or down are a little off.

getting that last bit off is harder than i thought..

honestly, the car i drove in real life was so much slower than the cars i would ever bother driving in a game, its hard to compare so much. all of the games have the layout pretty accurate, i would use any of them to learn the track before driving it, just in terms of what turns come in what order and where the real dangerous areas are. in fact before i went in real life i practiced it on grand prix legends, which was the only game available at the time, this was about 4 years ago, with a decent map of the ring, and it probably saved my life. the volvo had the most annoying speed cutoff at about 130 mph, the engine just went dead till the speed dropped. just like in gt4 come to think of it. but its a lot more disturbing when you are really going that fast. sort of fun on the autobahn though. most people didnt actually drive all that fast, i was suprised. either on the ring or on the autobahn. i passed all sorts of way faster cars, though of course all kinds of stuff smoked by me on the ring. it was weird sharing the track with bikes at the same time, you really get a sense of how far they lean over. bikes, at least the ones i was sharing the track with, suck in braking though. maybe they were just pussies..

    TUNED road car speed 12

fully optioned out, wing, soft tires: 6:19.332. should be faster since it has 900 hp but it cant put down all the power, or else you use ASM and it chokes, either way is slow out of the corners.. this lap was without asm but it required very intense concentration on the gas.

    tuned road car 69 stingray

6:42. all options, wing, soft tires, stage 3 tune. this car is really fun to drive, just wish it had more power. the stage 3 tune and the superchager are within 1 sec lap time, i think it comes down more to the individual lap.

    skyline pace car lol

fully optioned out, soft race tires, nos. 6:24. its pretty nice! its a skyline after all. it looks so funny in the replays with the lights going off..

2004 subaru impreza wrx sti also fully optioned with nos, wing, 6:29. it could handle more power, it feels like a sunday drive. choosing where to use the nos is a big strategy, you could use it all the time but you have to save it for the important parts. 196 on the straight.

    civic type R '98

those are my best time for now with some of my favorites cars:
    Civic Type R '98 (370hp)...............7'13.358
    Civic Type R '04 (342hp all motor stage 3)...............7'09.738
    Peugeot 206 Rc '03...........7'13.801
    Lancer Evo VIII GSR '03.....6'33.920
    peugeot 106 s16 '03 (268hp)..........7'24.523

i use fully tuned cars, no wings
    WITHOUT NOS!
    super soft tires
and i tried the GTI bone stock with n2 tires and i did 8'54.867 after 2 laps

***http://video.google.es/videoplay?doc...10651074041921 here is a good comparison (i think) with the real life nurburgring *gt4 RULES* ...even if the game is a bit faster

I think racing maniacs times are lise I used a fully tuned 88C-V with R5 tires and i'm a very good driver, and I still only get 6.20 in that with a perfect lap! But I only really use race cars anyway, so I don't know really alot of ppl are saying 6.10-6.30 times in virtually all the cars, which is rather unlikely.

I can take a screen shot with my digital camera if you want....

I definitely CAN'T do that laptime with the 88C-V, that car is nightmare to drive for me...

Oh ok then, the 88-cv is a hard car to drive, I can also send you a snapshot when I have some freetime, but can you show me yours?

I suppose a full tuned 88-CV is is quite unbalanced, that is why a road car can go as fast. I'm going for a week now so you will not see me.
