    Coming right up.

Well, Rob and I decided to make this a double whammy thread to save space- but we are both proud to say that we passed our driving tests 20th December for me, 21st for Rob.

I got 4 minors in mine, not bad seeing as I relearnt in just about 3 months (a little less).

Congratulations are in order- well done, Rob. You made me proud!

    Well said, Sam

"Well, you qualified, but just by a hairline," were the words of my examiner.
Its slightly nerve-racking having someone sit next to you and observe your every movement, so I missed a school zone sign and did 50 through it instead of 30. That was my big error, but everything else went smooth. I'm drinking to both of us tonight. Well done mate!

Disclaimer: That is not me driving, it's also not my 206

I don't think my 206 could go that fast unless you had a good tailwind!

I also don't think I'll be attempting any autocross records in it... trust me...

I'll be learning how to drive later. Time constraints really suck. I can't really fit it into my schedule.

when learning my mini, it about sent me into a ditch for that very reason. now i have learned to manage it.

and i bet yours will do that. get going fairly quick, turn sharply, then lift off the gas... it'll get your attention in a hurry.

    Congratulations to both of you...

Sam, you might want to try 170bhp of supercharged action next Fberuary. On second toughts I think this might be a little dangerous...

That interesting, I also nearly put the Mini in a ditch... since then I have learned to try to avoid understeer...

with the traction control off, you can gently coax it between under and oversteer with your right foot alone. ive gotten really good at freeway on ramps.

Wow, that is one crazy video. How does snap oversteer work anyway? Why does it happen?

you are understeering in a fwd car, wheels turned more than you are actually are turning. you lift off the gas, or hit the brakes, and the weight all shifts forward. this allows the front tires to the all at once grip, and it yanks the front end around, and the back end just falls away.
