    Who makes those?
    How old are they?
    Why are they so dang ugly?

    These trucks are dutch, 74 models, look pretty to me, thanks.

    Despite the filenames these aren't all 1974 models, apart from maybe the first one. The 3300 model (colour pic) is much later, more like 1984, and the last pic has a UK 1979 registration plate.

    It are Dafs from Eindhoven, and they aren't ugly at all. These trucks just don't look like you guys are used to, but here in Europe all the trucks looks similar to these.

    I live less than a mile from the factory/ test track and I know some people pver there too. I sometimes go to see the new trucks driving at the track.

    DAFs are an everyday sight on Australian roads, uses range from mid-size intracity delivery to h/d linehaul. I don't consider them at all ugly and DAFs enjoy a solid brand-reputation here as a good durable & honest truck

    Regards costs/profit in a very cut-throat market, prudent transport operators usually consider that excessive chromework, fancy doodads & exhorbitant custom paintwork is about as useful to a truck as tits on a bull
