Looks pretty descent, but the drifts arent smooth at all. Too bad he uses the ds2, with the dfp you can control the exits alot better, but its allot harder though!

No wonder it took me forever to master with the DFP. And those cars in the video were definitely ricers, luckily GT4 doesn't offer any aftermarket body kits or vinyls.Originally Posted by PoRsChEnUt

Thats drifting? I've always wanted to know what that was. Do you guys auctually consider that a sport? Looks more like a celebration technique.

requires more skill in keeping it smooth than nascar doesOriginally Posted by my porsche
Tough call whether you'd call it a sport or not. It definitely requires a lot of skill to do it really well like the pros, and I guess it's a sport in the same way that things like Freestyle MotoX and the like are, being judged on the aesthetic quality of your tricks. Personally all those sorts of things are just a matter of opinion as to whose is 'better' so they don't hold much water with me as sports. Plus drifting is pretty one-dimensional 'trick', not exactly full of variety really.Originally Posted by SolidStradale

That was a pretty good video. I've tried drifting in GT4 but I usually can't get it right or get it smooth.
pretty nice drifts. i do them better in GT3

1) put brake power to the back as much as you can.
2) increase camber on the rear wheels as much as you can
3) have shorter gear ratios so you can change gear during drifts without lowering or raising the revs too high
4) TCS (traction control system) OFF
5) Brake hard and late, swerve to the outisde of the corner at the start, then swerve back in to the inside to induce drift.
6) Feather the throttle to keep about 3/4 up the rev range.
7) be aware of throttle steer, sometimes you dont even need to use opposite lock to get a drift well.
7 easy steps

whiteballz, your style is very agressive, try to keep it as smooth as possible! Make sure your not banzaing into corners, drifting is an art form
here is an old video of me in gt3, not as clean as i can perform them nowadays, but it still looks cool
