    Hilmersson Racing Opel Manta

    Volvo B230 with navy crankshaft
    SPM H-profile connecting rods
    Venolia pistons
    16 Valve Volvo head with standard valves, port grinded with own ideas
    Self made mechanical valve adjustment
    Camshafts grinded by SPM
    Double valve springs
    Garret GT-40 turbo
    Eaton M62 compressor with an own system for control of air between the turbo and the compressor
    Exhaust manifold manufactured in stainless steel
    Wastegate with 50mm valve
    Self made intake manifold with separate 46mm throttle and full radius funnels
    Autronic engine management system and CDI ignition
    Mercury F1 ignition coils
    Self made Intercooler and watercooler

    Power:
    Max. 578Hp at 6300rpm, over 500Hp from 5200 to 7700rpm

    Torque:
    Max. 706Nm at 4900rpm, over 600Nm from 4300 to 6600rpm

    Transmission:
    Getrag 262 from BMW
    Tilton twin disc 185mm clutch with AP lamellas

    Rear end:
    Volvo 1031 axle with lamellar differential

    now that is hot... those struts out of the bonnet are mildly disturbing though...

    Just stunning. Really like the body shape. Glad they chose the Manta as their basis. I wonder what a Capri from the same era would look like.

    Nice to see some swedish cars in here! Been fortunate enough to see this one go around a track a couple of laps at a trackday held by a magazine. The sound is....strange to say the least. Got some looks at it sitting in the pit area, very nice. One of my favourite cars! Also, got a magazine review of it, I could scan it in later, if you guys wanna have a look at it .....

    i can ask Vmax the magezine i work for to email me some of this car it was featured there, it has one amazing sound from it like nothing ever heard,
