By that time, i will have my new computer, and new steeringwheel. I'll be concentrating on simracing allot more! Btw, the second car in that screenshot, will be a good candidate for ucp's next racecar.

Roy, how long did it take the modding community to get all the toosl for GTR in place ?
Do you know it they will be there for GTR2 ?
That may be a reason for running GTR for a while anyway - get to mod your own cars

well if you look at the GTL community, 10tacle still hasnt released the tools to mod your cars, you can use the GTR tools for them though, but the templates havent been released (they where available for 1 day, and thats the day i got them though )

PC Gamer have write up on GTR2 this month, here's the basic outline of what the contents are:

Full 2003 season tracks and cars.
Full 2004 season tracks and cars.
All tracks from GTL and various layouts.
Proximus 24hr race and usable online as well.
Driving school, which will unlock stuff.
24hr sun cycle which will effect track temperture.
LiveBrain-a system whereby the AI takes a lap and abit to get their eye in to reach full protential.
LiveTrack which has been upgraded to include rain on some parts of the circuit while its dry on other parts.
Totally new lovingly GPS-mapped courses are Valencia/Dubia/and China's new Zuhia.
    Animated full pit crew.
    Dynamic rain, reflective roads.
    Sexed up enviroments.
    Incresed crash damage.
    Extra smoke and particale effects.

system specs are very low aswell, me likes!

    Same.

I wonder if there will be any new types of downloads for this?

And hopefully, there will be more official downloads than before.

I decided to invest in a better video card than the GeForce 6800GT, so I will be able to play GTR2 with high quality settings hopefully

Plans for the UCP GTR2 Cup will come out sometime in July

The reliability of the 6-series over the 7-series is undeniable.

It's better off to run 2x 6-series cards in SLI than getting any 7-series, oh and I'm sure the 6800GT can run GTR2 in full, believe me. The GTR2 engine doesn't look much different than GTL in graphics, but it does look kinda lifetaking for the CPU. All those weather changing, temperature change, and more advanced AI will require a little more CPU power and RAM instead of graphic power. Believe me I couldn't run BF2 smoothly at max settings before I got another Gb of RAM, just when I realize it wasn't the 6800GT pushing itself. I learned that sometimes games can take more of other hardwares than the graphic card.

Oh me and my friend were testing this theory on BF2, and we found out that BF2 doesn't run smooth with anything less than 1.5Gb of RAM, since it has all these huge amount of data transferring in such short times, so be aware if any of you plan on getting BF2.

Oh man, I want to drive that Comp. Coupe so bad.

I remember hearing those babies race at TMS a while back.

    Mmmmm, those V10s sounded amazing.

Yeah, that looks awesome as well.

An actually functioning pit crew with 24 Hour Races should really spice up the races. Spa 24 Hours got old after my 3rd attempt.

I'm really interested in maybe a Donington or Monza 24 Hours.
The download Monza 24 doesn't really have any lights to show off the track at night.
