    Camera mounting...

Ok, im trying to find a way of fitting my video camera into my car, thing is i cant have a bar between headrests as its got bucket seats in, i cant fix it to the dast as i dont have anything to fix it too and so my only option as i see it is to fix it to the diagonal bar on the roll cage that goes behind the seats, my problem is that the fixings are like £100 and i dont wanna spend that on it so can you guys think of any other way of doing it ?

here is a pic of what i mean, ill get another one laters as soon as i figure out how to open the garage as the key seems to of been misplaced

How about fixing in on the roof in some sort of special angle?

Get 2 pieces of split ring collar of the diameter of your roll cage tube, weld a bar or something across them , put a hole on that bar of some fastener size, then make a mount that bolts through that hole for your camera.

Unless your camera is one of those that automatically compensates, I would recommend trying to design in some type of vibration insulation.

Very important actually....you'd probably want some sort of bushing for it....

get a tripod, rip the head of and weld it onto your cage, position it properly, then weld up the head

This looks like a sturdy solution. To mount on the rollcage diagonal, just get clamps as suggested by Racingmaniac. Also, to lessen vibration wrap some rubberized foam between the mount and the cage. Isolation, dampening is going to be the tough, I don't know what inexpensive solution would work?
