Porsche is putting end on Carrera GT's production

In the latest edition of the Belgian automotive magazine: "Autogids" announces that Porsche will produce the last Carrera GT in april, this year.
The reason is that they never reached the expected sale's figures: they've hoped to sell 1500 C GT's, but the last one to leave the factory will be number 1250...

Porsche did not release any info about a successor, but there are rumours that its V10-engine will be planted in Porsche's futrue 4door-coupé, the Panamera...

I think it's too bad that the C GT didn't live longer ( read: 'till I've saved enough money to buy it )

Here some pics of unlucky C GT's...

Yeah, but if you see how many were crashed...

    But you're right, for a supersportscar, this is a large number ( compared to # Enzo's... )

I can't believe that they won't make anymore. Is it just a tactic to drive the price up or the demand up? It's the best Porsche ever, why stop production after one year? The NSX never sold in big numbers and Honda kept it for a decade and a half...

I'm glad that they have stopped building it. What's a Hypercar that isn't exclusive? Too many Carrera GTs is not a good thing. Rarity is the key, because it makes sighting the cars ever more pleasing.

No, it's true. I have a friend who made the paintjobs for the CGTs in his factory and they made 1250 and no more.

I thought Carrera GT sales were going great...since when was Porsche doing bad with the model sales?

I think 1250 CGTs is not bad at all. It means that there are 1250 people in the world who could pay 450000 Euros! Not bad ar all in my eyes

She borrowed the car from a swiss man and lost control after only 1km...

1st question: why did she drove such an expensive car, when she isn't good enough to drive it?

2nd question: who is dump enough to give such an expensive car away???

3rd question: why would somebody drive a CGT with wheels as wide as Arizona and built for proper dry tracks in summer drive around on slippy, icy tracks at night in Holland??????

lol women seldom drive supercars, or was she just too stupid and thought she could drive that thing fast. lol women are better off driving SLK55's than SLR's or Carrera GT's. Besides, the owners thawt total the CGT's should be murdered, they don't deserve to drive or own such a nice car if they're going to total it
