    Barrett-Jackson Auction

I am watching the Barrett Jackson auction and a 2007 Shelby Mustang Gt500 just went for $600,000. Does anyone else not think that this is ridiculous considering in a few months you will be able to buy them for less than $70,000? Also, has the Lotec C1000 been sold yet or is it still to come? Is anyone else watching the auction? Anything caught your eye? comments.

I watched it for a couple hours, and personally i think it is a ridiculous show. I'n not a fan of really old ugly cars going for hundreds of rthousands and than a brand new sports car is practically free. Like a Pano Esperante, around 117K$, and it went for i think 80 i think it was. ridiculous. But I want to catch the lotec also.

Yeah I mainly agree with Sleeky. Most of the auction is just old american cars that are pretty crappy but its interesting when you have exotics like the Lotec and old exotics like 300Sl Gullwings.

How is a $128,319 Esperante selling for $80K ridiculous?
    Makes perfect sense to me.

Geez... Everything under 4,100,000 seems kinda cheap now.

i heard that they will be base of 39k, so makes it even more ridiculous, and with the mass production ford do, i doubt they will have a shortage

it sold that high because Ford made a deal with them to sell the very FIRST GT500 in the auction, and this was the first GT500 indeed.
