i kinda predicted this several years ago after toyota joined Craftsman Truck.
I'm dropping out to create a company that starts with motorcycles, then cars, and forty years later signs a legendary Brazilian driver who has a public and expensive feud with his French teammate.

Does Toyota still have the primitive technology that is required for NASCAR?

If they win, the term 's-jus-a-Toyota, will lose its meaning.

They already make that style of motor for the Truck series......which is the company's first ever pushrod V8.....

loos like a long term strategy then, but the 2006 Tundra still has a quad cam V8

yep, first they convinced the progressive part of the US car buyers to go for their products after the quad cam Indy engine became all conquering, and now they stoop low enough to use a pushrod engine to convince the conservative part of the US market. It is going to be interesting

I wonder if this has anything to do with the recent resigning of IRL.
