Istanbul, Bahrain and Shanghai has injected something into the sport, and theres Spa, Monza and Suzuka for the fans.

Its fully operational still. You could be thinking about it being threatened to be taken off the calender, due to some issues with its regional government i believe.

sorry Mr Expert but Toyota designed and manufactured its first ever pushrod V8 over forty years ago, the 3V. And their OHV hemi V8 enjoyed a 30+ year production run, until 1997 IIRC

This alloy head V8 (ex-1964 Toyota Crown) even had a Rochester carb, so probably not too advanced for Nascar in 2007

The Spa F1 race is still on the calender on formula1.com.

The 24 Hours of Spa and 1000km of Spa have given the track a lot more attention

GO TOYOTA. This is going to make things so much more interesting. I hope they kick butt. Plus toyota doesn't need to enter nascar to boost sales. Toyota is #2 in sales around the world, only 2nd to GM, which owns Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, GMC, Holden, Hummer, Opel, Pontiac, Saturn, Saab and Vauxhall. And Toyota only owns Lexus, Daihatsu, and Scion, that says a little something. Watch out GM.

OMG the japanese are now going to kill NASCAR. It happened with CART, it's happening with IndyCar Series, and their next target is our beloved category. Japan is trying to take the motorsports world, one thing is win the F1 Constructors Championship, but is uneceptable see U.S. categories falling.

    Go ROYOTA!!

Im going to LMAO when they win. They can speak twice the speed of southern americans so pit stops will be 50% more efficient

I hope this does get them into V8 supercars in Aus, id love to give the Holden/Ford fans a stir

it can't. They'd have to start building a car in Australia thats RWD and V8, though this'd give them a bit of a start, just drop the engine to 5 litres and add fuel injection
