growing up, i was very lucky to have my aunt work at rockwell intl, the company that built all of the space shuttles. i got to go to various open houses where i saw the construction of endeavor from just a very basic airframe through to the roll out, the first public display of the shuttle (shown in a black and white pic in the 3rd post i think).
