    3DMark Scores / Rig Specs

Ok any of the PC gamers out there should know what im talking about in this one. If you have 3dmark and have run the test then post your scores and whats in your PC here. I have a lot of other cpu/vid benchmarks but 3Dmark seems to be the only one that everybody has, sooo shoot.

    3Dmark01: 18,921
    3Dmark03: 6,360
    3Dmark05: 1212 lol
3Dmark06: crashes while loading the second test lol, but probably around 500-700.

    i have:

    A64 3500+ (newcastle) @ 2640mhz
    MSI nVIDIA GeForce FX 5900(XT ) @ 520/800mhz
2x512 sticks of Crucial RAM, not OC'd
    Soltek K8T800Pro :-/

i would have gotten a diff mobo if i had been as big on overclocking back then as i was now.

Anyway... i just wanna know what you guys have.

I used to have partial interest in that junk, but stopped gaming 2 years ago.

havent run a benchmark in a while, but here are the specs of my "rig"
    AMD Athlon 2800+
    ASUS A7N8X-X Motherboard
1 Gb Kington (Albeit Value!) DDR400 RAM
ATi Raeon 9600 XT (256 Mb one), only overclocked when i run a particualryily taxing game thanks to the wonders of ATi Tray Tools!

I just get my dads old computer parts and asemble them myself, only problem was that last year his pc cought fire so i didnt get his (now partially melted) A7N8X-Deluxe, but soon he'll want to uprade and i will then join the 64-bit revolution...

my dad had a water cooled system, and the A7N8X had a fault and would send an "incorrect voltge" to the RAM, part of the ram socket actaully melted on to the ram!

Oh lol, so i guess it send too much voltage to the ram and it overheated?

SOme have a PC to use and do, some have it to brag and do.

That was the point I think -- coz it's where I am too

Mate's son used to build to get the highest 3dmark scores. For a while on OverClockers he was running in the top 10 fastest machines !! Usually as soon as he posted a score some nerd somewhere would e-mail him and offer silly money which he always took Made a fortune out of the desires of those with full pockets and empty heads

Does a 3dmark score 1000 higher than another make that machine "better" ? It's like having a Veyron and only driving in town

Yer, its just like a rating for computers, like a cars 0-100-0 or its time for the nordshleife. Theres nothing wrong with being a computer fan, just the same as a car fan, i am both
