FOrgive me for being totally retarted but I didnt think they made a 427 vette in 65. I thought it was only 1967?

They didn't make a 65 427 vette, the biggest available engine was the 396 and the 427 ran from 66 to 69.

I'd have to go with the Shelby cobra 427, but if I can I'm going for the original super snake, CSX 3015. The one built for Carroll Shelby himself. It had a twin supercharged 427 and power disc brakes I think from a jaguar. Bill Cosby had one too after making a joke to Carroll saying "If you ever make a 200mph car I'll buy the first one".

Where is the Boss 429? or the Torino King Cobra?(never made but it was a bad ass prototype).
I have to go with SS Chevelle, because it was the best selling Muscle Car of all time!
Only the Chevelle, Charger, 88, and Torino are muscle cars in this list, the others are pony cars(do i really have to tell u which ones?), economy cars(Nova) and Sport Car (Corvette). But nowadays all except the vette can be called muscle cars, as long as they have a V8 over 5 liters and 300 HP
A better List would of been: State year and version
    Charger
    Chevelle
    Cyclone
    Torino
    Roadrunner
    Coronet
    GTO
    442
    GS

    Then a Pony Car List
    Mustang
    Cuda
    Challenger
    Firbird
    Camaro
    Cougar
    Nova
    Duster
    Demon

I vote for that one. A classic muscle car ("muscle car" being defined as 4, or more, seat mid-sized car).

A wide range of engines were available for the base Charger... 225-6 cylinder for the economy-minded, 318-2 bbl V-8 for some economy with some power, 383-2 and 4- bbl.
And the *least-powerful* engine available for the R/T series was the 440-4 bbl (the other two being the 440-6 bbl and 426-Hemi).

Of course, the Chargers had nice styling and a muscular look, the engines were reliable and the automatic transmission was the best in the business.

and is the Cobra a "muscle car" ? It's a sports car surely ???
matra not entirely sure if its even true but i very clearly remember my dad telling me that when i was younger and how that fact amazed him when he was young and those cars were comin out. i'll see if i can dig up some info on it.

and no technically i wouldnt call the cobra a muscle car (nor the corvette) and instead a sports car. but why not include them anyways since their a part of the muscle car era anyways.

its kinda of a muscle car...not really

real muscle cars usually were hardtops..with seating for 4.....but the cobra did have the 427...so maybe muscle car power but not a muscle car
