And you're still wrong . Jeeps aren't the only vehicles that can do 'serious offroading'

Why do you think that the British Army are still using the Land Rover Defender? You don't see them mud-plugging in Jeeps. The Mercedes G-Wagen is also highly capable off-road, as is the Nissan Patrol (limited by size in some cases), the Toyota Land Cruiser and even the Fiat Panda 4x4.

Naw, he means if HE's gonna off-road, it'll only be in a Jeep, because they're good, capable off-roaders. Doesn't mean the Jeep is the only vehicle that can do it, just the only vehicle he cares for - and he has a point that its aftermarket is second to none.

If I were to choose, it'd be a Bronco (either Early or Big Bronc), Land Rover (either the Defender 90 or Disco II), or a Jeep CJ. Might consider some of the Toyotas too.
An it harm none, do as ye will

Approximately 79% of statistics are made up.

    Point taken

I guess the aftermarket depends seriously on the country- the UK has a huge base for Land Rovers (up to including a badge you can get that says 'Randy Lover' ). Australia undoubtedly has a huge market for the Land Cruiser- IIRC, they have a stake of 80% of the off-roader market, do Toyota.

I accept that in the US, things are probably slightly different... the Jeep Wrangler is a bit of a joke here, not helped by the film 'Clueless'!

Hahahaha yeah, the Wranglers do have a bit of the cheerleader-mall-parking-lot-stalker reputation here (actually, all the Jeeps do), but when you see a nicely built one that whole image tends to go away.

They are serius off road trucs, that can tackle ALLMOST anything you can trhow at them, but the H1 is just a whole level above these 2.

The only thing i can see the toyota and land rover do better is maybe long term durability... but even that i doubt ...
Yea H1s are very capable...... asuming the trail is wide enough.
