The Pantera is Italian, as it was created by Alejandro DeTomaso. Ford just saw what they liked and gave him an engine.
Alejandro got his start after creating the Mangusta.
The cars were also just built through Lincoln/Mercury chain.
But this car was Italian and was produced in DeTomaso Automobili S.p.A. until Ford USA bought the Ghia styling house.
