    Historic Racing Leagues

How about racing leagues that use the same cars & tracks as the old leagues. Basically revival leagues for Trans Am, Can Am, and even simply historic leagues for NASCAR, Formula One, IndyCar, etc.

these things widely happen in Europe, although the series do not cover all tracks, and the number of races is much smaller. This might have to do with the fact that most drivers are "amateurs" in the sense that they have other work to do as well and cannot spend 18 weekends per annum on the track. Furthermore the cost of moving the vehicles across is also a serious hindrance to organise a full series.

However the idea is pretty nice and I am sure it would generate more interesting races than current F1 (not that that is very difficult but still )
