Top Gear - Alpine A610 and MVS Venturi

From the days when JC used to make sounds as if he actually understood ANY of the mechanical aspects of cars and could point at an engine and know it's configuration and DIDN'T go roudn every corner screaming POWAAAAAAAAAH !!!!!

I've sat in the yellow A610

    Great post Mr Matra sir.
I did have the pleasure of owning the predecessor to the A610, the GTA, some years back. A great car (when it wasn't broken down).
It is better to keep quiet and be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.

I would love to but it is 174 MB.
You could download it as a torrent.

Just go to www.mininova.org and search for "Top Gear 1992" and you want episode 2.

Why ? You got used to the ones on your own car

Actually they are CRAP in show and is atypical French design cock-up !
You get a build up of snow in the middle that gradually gets wider and wider
Even in heavy rain if you dont' drive fast enough you can get a bit in the middle that you can never see out of.

Of course, that may have been the intention of the French designer --- you do NOT go out in snow ( remember lots of torque and power, V6 hung out the back ) and you shouldn't be driving slow anyway even if raining

Of course the real reason is more mundane. The A610 had a very low Cd for a production car for use on the road with everything attached. To achieve that they had to get the wipers into a more "sensible" place when parked. It is a relatively knew idea to use cammed drives which move the wipers in a non-circular motion and can park hidden better seen on many of today's cars !!

10% goes to UCP as a "management fee". Should not be too much trouble judging from where you live.

Sadly it WAS on it's way and then you went and put an "e" in there.
    Whiskey is Irish and American.
Whisky is the only true one.
Shame, I'll just have to drink it myself. ( Rosebank an excellent choice )

I think Duell will be happy with a Scottish Skirt also
I think Koenigsegg is Swedish for: "Oh no, my head's just exploded!"
