Lister has secured a place on the grid for the Le Mans 24 Hours after the Storm LMP was one of only four LMP1 car named on the most recent entry list released by the ACO.

Lister first competed at Le Mans back in 1958 – securing a 15th place finish – and returned in 1995 to pick up an eleventh place finish in GT1 with the Storm GT.

The 2006 running of the race will be the third time that the Lister LMP has tackled the event, the team having missed the race in 2003 following a qualifying accident and then finishing ninth in class twelve months later.

Andrea Belicchi, Stefano Zonca and Jens Moller are set to drive the car while also competing in the Le Mans Series with Belicchi and Zonca both needing to qualify for the race on the test day. Moller however is already a named driver having been part of Listers all-Danish line-up in 2004.

The remainder of the LMP1 entries will be selected after the Sebring 12 Hours next month.
