I need some Audio help ...

Right ... I have some Creative Inspire 4.1 speakers at the moment but the rear speakers are extremely quiet.

Is there any way I can make the rear speakers louder? Or is there a way I can make the front speakers quieter and keep the rear ones at the volume? It's not even because they're damaged ... it's simply because they're lame. They've always been like it.

Any help will be greatly appreciated guys.

Is there a way to adjust your sound card settings? Or your speaker settings?

Is the stereo stock? If not, what brand is it?

If it is stock, there might be a way to adjust the balance of the speakers (front vs. rear bias). It's a very easy adjustment if the stereo has the feature.

I gotta be honest though, creative probably doesn't make very good speakers, because I've never even heard of them. If you really want to make the rear sound better, look into infinity reference speakers, a solid set of them cost around $100. I have 6 1/2's in the front, and they sound awesome.

EDIT: Sorry, I didn't realize you weren't talking about your car's audio, and Creative doesn't even make car speakers

Not using the software that comes with Windows as far as i know. All it lets me do is set it to quadrophonic and change the volume as a whole. However, if i'm wrong here, someone tell me.

If you have a cd player turn the balance from the front to the back. About -2 to -4 in the front and all the way up in the back. You could probably get a amp to run through the back speakers if you have money and want it to have more bass and clearer sound. If you have the stock cd player and dont want to buy an amp i would buy a after market cd player, probably one with a 50X4 built in amp, it will help the performance or the front speakers and the rear too. thats what i would recomend, i have a 4600 pioneer 50x4 cd player and 100 watt 6 1/2" speakers for my rear. It should be good when i put it in. Try what i said and if you have and questions ask.

SupraMan, don't forget that the 50x4 is the stereo's peak power handling, not its RMS. RMS is the more significant number, and the peak power handling is like horsepower in car commercials, a marketing scheme.

Yeah i know rms is 20. Sorry about the information exige. I thought you were talking about car stereo. Please excuse me. You could still probably mess with the balance to get better sound.

What kind of a sound card/onboard audio chip are you using, how are the speakers connected to it and did the soundcard/onboard audio chip include any software?

Using a Creative Audio PCI sound card, speakers are connected using a normal speaker audio jack, and it included software but it's just the drivers.
